Not sure if you need medical support?
Signs it's not something to detox from alone.
This isn’t a diagnosis, just a starting point. If a few of these sound familiar, a medical assessment is worth having before you try to stop on your own.
Shaking, sweating, or nausea when you go too long without using
Heavy, near-daily use going back weeks or months
Tried to quit cold turkey before and it didn't go well
A past withdrawal seizure, or blackouts while stopping before
Using more than one substance at a time
A doctor has recommended medical detox specifically
The detox process
What medication-assisted detox actually looks like.
Core treatment
Medication-assisted withdrawal management
We use FDA-approved medications, like buprenorphine for opioids, or a supervised taper protocol for alcohol and sedative dependence, to ease the physical symptoms of withdrawal and reduce the risk of complications, rather than asking you to white-knuckle it.
Comfort care
Symptom support medications
Alongside the core treatment, your clinician may prescribe medications for nausea, sleep disruption, anxiety, or elevated blood pressure, common withdrawal symptoms that, left unmanaged, make people far more likely to relapse just to make them stop.
After detox: staying well long-term.
Detox gets your body through withdrawal, it doesn’t address the dependency itself. That’s why we recommend moving into ongoing medication-assisted treatment right after: naltrexone or acamprosate for alcohol, buprenorphine for opioids, tailored to whatever you were dependent on. Members who continue MAT after detox have meaningfully better long-term outcomes than those who stop treatment once withdrawal ends.
More than medication
Support through the hardest days, not just the prescription.
The first few days are usually the hardest, physically and mentally. You’re not managing that alone with an app, there’s a person checking in with you through it.
Daily check-ins during detox
While you're going through the acute window, your care team checks in daily not just when something goes wrong.
Message your care team anytime
Between scheduled visits, you can reach your coach or clinician directly and expect a real response, not a ticket queue.
HOW IT WORKS
From first message to an actual plan.
Assessment
A short form, identity verification, insurance benefits, withdrawal screening, and medical history.
Meet your clinician
A licensed prescriber reviews your intake and meets you by video within 24 hours.
Start your plan
Medication sent to a pharmacy you choose. We monitor you daily through the acute window.
Ongoing coaching
Weekly check-ins with a dedicated coach, plus messaging between visits, for as long as it's useful.

All you need to know
Can I detox from home?
Some people with mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms may be appropriate for medically supported detox at home. However, detox at home is not appropriate for everyone. Our clinicians assess your risk and may recommend in-person medical care when a higher level of supervision is needed.
How long does withdrawal and detox support last?
What symptoms can you help manage during withdrawal?
Depending on your treatment plan, medication and clinical support may be used to help manage symptoms such as nausea, sleep difficulties, anxiety, and other discomfort associated with withdrawal.
What happens if my withdrawal becomes more severe?
Your safety comes first. If your symptoms or medical history indicate that virtual care is no longer appropriate, your care team can recommend escalation to in-person or emergency medical services.
Will someone check on me during detox?
Yes. Withdrawal and detox support includes ongoing clinical monitoring during the acute period. The goal is to identify changes early and make sure you receive the appropriate level of care.
What substances do you evaluate?
Plans start at $0/month.
We accept most major insurance plans. Care can cost as little as $0. We check your coverage before you pay anything.
